Phil and Steve Mahre- White Pass, WA
Steve, Kyle Watson and Phil, Mt Hood 2016
Phil and Steve Mahre are true icons of American ski racing and when you talk about the best ski racers in the history of the planet they would be in the conversation!
Phil won the Silver in the 1980 Olympics at Lake Placid and the Gold in the 1984 games in Sarajevo with Steve taking the silver. Phil won three straight overall World cup titles in 1981, 82 and 83 before retiring in 1984.
The Mahre twins retired from the World Cup at age 26 at the peak of their careers. Today Lindsey Vaughn and Bode Miller are the only Americans with more World Cup victories than Phil Mahre's 27. Their epic battles with Sweden's Ingemar Stenmark were some of the best in the history of modern ski racing. Phil and Steve were the first dominant American ski racers and together they laid the foundation of the great US ski teams and racers to follow. Our hats are off to the Mahres who in our eyes are the greatest of all time!!!
Xevo Optics is proud to sponsor the Mahre Summer Race Camp at Mt Hood and the ADL Ski Club

Keree Smith- Goverment Camp, OR
Keree grew up in the small mountain town of Government Camp, Oregon. Yes, she actually grew up there! With Ski Bowl and Sasquatch just in the backyard, she fell in love with skiing and raced competitively with Mt. Hood Academy until the age 19. Keree then decided to retire and simply took off to travel the world.
Her newly discovered touring ski's guided her to remote fjords in Iceland, the deep goods in Japan and a few -28F, polar bear trodden base camps in Svalbard. Via planes, boats and trains, she would like to recognize Borea Adventures and The Empire expeditions for employment opportunities and an incredible introduction to guiding in exotic and remote locations.
She thanks the local support of Mt. Hood 26 and the many miscellaneous friends and family for the new, hand-me-down and twice retired gear. Always happy to just get out there. The Xevo Team is so proud to have such an outstanding woman representing us!
Jake Denham- Reno, NV
Jake is an up and coming competitive snowboarder from the Lake Tahoe region. Currently living in Reno, NV, Jake rides at Northstar at Tahoe Ski Resort during the season and trains at Woodward at Tahoe year round. He competes in Snowboard Slopestyle and Big Air, and is currently trying to qualify for the Olympics in these disciplines.
Jake started snowboarding when he was 14 and started competing when he was 21, after tearing his ACL and going through rehab to be able to walk again. This was the point where he decided to give snowboarding 100% and see if it was still possible to have a career in the highly competitive snowboarding industry competing at an elite level. Over the past 4 years, Jake has finished his education at the University of Nevada, Reno with an undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering, all while continuing to train and practice his snowboarding craft. He is now able to ride and practice everyday, and is feeling healthier than ever.
His goals for the future are to make it into the pro-circuit of snowboarding slopestyle contests and big air events, as well as learn and land on snow new tricks that have not been accomplished yet. Jake's motto is "you only live once" so he is trying to make the best of every situation and give 100% effort into anything he sets his mind too. Snowboarding is his passion and Jake wants to be able to snowboard until the day he dies, so training and fitness play a huge role in his snowboarding career. He is a fantastic inspiration and we are very grateful to have him in our Xevo Family!
